
Frakture is composed for full symphony orchestra and the audiences smartphones. In this work I perform layers of sounds on the phones of the audience in synchronization with the orchestral score. The sounds are processed from the orchestra so that the entire work weaves together as a single sonic experience.
A key part of the work, which reflects on our fracturing environment, is that everyone present becomes enmeshed as an ecosystem, all interdependent in the creation of the work in that moment.
